Apparently even your brain has a gender. take a look at this test and find out yourself:-

apparently my brain is female. i wouldn’t agree though. why? i cant do any household work, i hate doing office work, and i like nothing better than doing absolutely nothing. clearly my brain is a male.

*spoiler warning*
and the bland-ish end..that should have been the title of the last of potter books.
i certainly expected atleast one main adorable character to die. damn, was i dissappointed. after killing dumbledore off in the 6th book, i was certain atleast Ron or hermione would die. i am glad they lived but there was no shock factor. after shocking us with dumbledore’s death i would have expected rowling to do away to with ron or herm at the very least. but dobby’s death was certainly tragic. wasnt he adorable? always refering to himself in third person. hmm..rowling what happened? somehow none of the main characters were adorable this time. just could not connect with them. was i expecting too much? may be. but for all the hype around it, i was bound to expect a lot, was i not?

I took toefl ibt on the 7th of this month. I scored well, quite well. 116/120.
How to score well? It doesnt need ny special preaparation if your language is pretty. Ofcourse I needed some preparartion on speaking because you have very little time to prepare and speaking on the spot for a minute is actually more difficult than it looks..in any langauge. so it not only measures ypur command over the language but also your ability to think on the spot. so for people who dont like talking too much in the first place(like me), it can be a little discomforting. but practice on your computer’s recorder by saying somethinf on a familiar topic daily for about two weeks(just 5 - 10 minutes each day) and you are good to go. reading, listening and writing do not require that much preparation. but however that could be dependent on an individual’s capabilities. some people may well but may find reading difficult. take a lot of practice tests. they really to help.
Some material I found helpful:-
1) Barron’s and kaplan for reading and listening.
2) princeton for speaking and writing(thier template is good but since i am spontaneous speaker i often tend to stray away from the subject). its good if you can follow the template, it’s not always possible but try to stick to it.
3) speaking practice questions - definitely longman’s— lots of questions. kaplan too is quite good.
Happy scoring!!
